The Talwar Group commenced its journey on the road to corporate success over
50 years ago, in a small town called Peshawar, now in Pakistan. From a modest
automobile dealership, the group has grown steadily, to become a premier
conglomerate in India's automotive industry. The Group took its first step
towards manufacturing with the launch of Talbros Automotive Components Ltd.
(TACL). The company, for over forty years, has been manufacturing Automotive and
Industrial Gaskets in technical and financial collaboration with Coopers Payen,
world leaders in automotive sealing - a part of Federal Mogul, USA. This
successful merger laid down the blueprint for future international alliances.
To further strengthen its position in the Automotive industry, Talbros
introduced a comprehensive range of high-fidelity, distortion-free Rear Axle
Shafts and Cork products under the brand name "Talcork". The group
then partnered with Japan Brake Industrial Company Limited to form Allied Nippon
- India's leading manufacturer of Disc Pads, Brake Linings and Brake Shoes.
In yet another step towards manufacturing safety critical components, the
group ventured into the production of Steering and Suspension Ball Joint by
forming a new company QH Talbros Ltd., a Joint Venture with Quinton Hazell
Automotive Ltd., UK (part of Dana Corporation). Today, QH Talbros is the
preferred supplier of these components to the leading OEMs of India and reaches
out to the replacement markets through its worldwide authorized selling agents.
